Nungua Council commends president for development

The Nungua Traditional Council (NTC) has commended President John Dramani Mahama for the numerous development programmes initiated in the traditional area by the government of the National Democratic Congress, under its Better Ghana Agenda.

Making the commendation in an encounter with the Media at Nungua, the Council further lauded the Ledzekuku-Krowor Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Daniel Amartey Mensah, for his competence and hard work, which they said had accelerated the pace of development in the Municipality.

The Council catalogued the construction of a Polyclinic, the extension of the School Feeding Programme from one school to all basic schools in Nungua and the construction of classroom blocks for selected schools in Nungua as some of the projects initiated by the MCE, and which members had inspected.

Other projects, the NTC said, include the construction of culverts and drainages, and the construction of a net mending shed at the Nungua Landing Beach, and, therefore, urged the president to retain the MCE for Ledzokuku-Krowor, to enable him continue with his good works.

“We acknowledge the hard work of… Daniel Amartey Mensah, and we have no reservations whatsoever in his re-appointment to continue and sustain the development our town has experienced these four years under the Better Ghana Agenda.”

“With his humble gestures, consultations in decision-making and respect for divergent views and opinions, we are ready to continue to work with the MCE when re-appointed,” the Council concluded.
