The 1990 Year Group of the Old Ghanascans Association has congratulated Honourable Mahama Ayariga on his appointment as the Minister for Youth and Sports.
The decision to formally congratulate Mahama Ayariga was taken at one of the meetings held by members of the Association at the Holiday Inn Hotel at Airport City in Accra.
It was an interesting meeting that saw several Old Ghanascans who were meeting for the first time after leaving school in 1990. It was all fun and sharing of memories of their school days.
The old students of Ghana Secondary School in Tamale have been in touch with each other via WhatsApp but decided to move their mode of interaction to other levels hence the meetings they have commenced to catch up with old times.
Whilst some of the members of OGA 90 are domiciled in the United States of America and the United Kingdom, a substantial number of the membership are in Ghana working in various sectors of the economy occupying very important positions. The group is therefore happy and proud to have one of their colleagues climbing the ladder to become a Minister of such an important Ministry.
A number of chapter meetings of the OGA 90 group have been held in Tamale, Kumasi and Accra- with plans to hold other meetings in the other regions of the country as part of efforts to consolidate the group.
It is the plans of the OGA 90 group to contribute their quota to their Alma Mater in various ways possible.
