Obuasi, Sept 18, GNA - Work on a three billion-cedi market that will provide 103 lockable stores for residents of Bidieso has started. The project, being undertaken by the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, will be completed within one year.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony to mark the beginning of work Nana Asirifi Asare II, the Presiding Member of the just dissolved assembly, appealed to the residents to do active business in the market when it is completed.
He said the assembly had drawn up a development plan that would facilitate the development of the municipality. Nana Asirifi Asare said the government had introduced a number of interventions to improve the poverty levels of the people including the youth and urged the Bidieso community to take advantage of that and access some of the funds.
