Odumasi L.A. Primary School appeals for help

Odumasi (ER) Aug.17 GNA-The Odumasi Local Authority (L.A.) Primary School has made an urgent appeal to the Birim South District Assembly to construct a new classroom block to replace the present deteriorating structure.

The chief of the town, Nana Kwaku Abam made the appeal when Nana Debrah an aspiring assembly member for the Petenyinase Electoral area visited the area on Thursday to launch his campaign.

He described the school structure, as a "death trap" which he said did not promote conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning. According to him, the condition of the block got worsened every year, adding that anytime it threatened to rain, classes had to be suspended and pupils sent home.

Mr Kwadwo Oboh, Unit Committee chairman appealed to the Assembly to take steps to construct a new building to forestall any disaster in the future.

Nana Debrah appealed to the residents to vote for him and promised that he would see to their concerns when elected as the assembly member for the area.

He advised parents to avoid engaging their children on diamond winning and other economic activities at the expense of their education.
