Omanhene commends Five Paramouncies

Osabarima Kwasi Atta the Second, Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, has commended five paramouncies in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District, for their team work in organizing the Akwambokese Festival for the second time.

‘The spirit, unity and able manner in which you have collectively joined hands to ensure the success of the festival, should be maintained to the benefit of posterity.'

Osabarimba Atta made the commendation at a colourful durbar at Enyan-Maim to climax the second edition of the Akwambokese Festival of the chiefs and people of the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District.

The Omanhene, who was chairman for the occasion, called for unity of purpose among the people, in their bid to initiate development projects to better their lot.

He charged parents to make the education of their children the topmost priority, to help eradicate illiteracy and poverty from the area.

He called on Ghanaians to make health and sanitation practices their daily assignment, reminding them that cleanliness was next to Godliness.

Mr Ato Forson, Member of Parliament for the area, commended the traditional rulers and the people for their foresight in bringing the Ghanaian culture to light.

Mr Forson, who is also the Deputy Minister of Finance, assured Ghanaians that government would fulfill all campaign promises by the end of 2016.
