The Adansihene, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, on Friday, August 16, 2024, launched his 10-year anniversary of ascending the throne in a colorful ceremony.
The Adansi traditional council comprises seven divisions, with Fomena as the capital.
Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II thanked Nananom for their support over the years and the committee members for their hard work.
He mentioned that there would be a series of activities such as clean-up exercises, free NHIS registration, health walks and screenings, public lectures, among others leading up to the climax on September 28, 2024.
Opagyakotwere also expressed his main concern for fostering unity among all the unions, as Adansiman was founded on unity.
He declared amnesty for all sub-divisions that have not been attending traditional council sittings and urged all chiefs to come together to join him at his grand durbar on September 28, 2024.
Right Reverend Nuh Ben Abubakr, a former Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church who chaired the occasion, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life. He prayed for unity and love for Adansiman, urging all divisions in Adansi to come together for the development of the region.
He also emphasized the importance of divisional chiefs utilizing Opagyakotwere's amnesty to move past any previous conflicts.
The launch concluded with the unveiling of the anniversary logo and souvenirs, as well as a fundraising ceremony to support Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II's visions.
The Chairman and CEO of Accurate Giant Company, Alex Kofi Hanson, fulfilled his promise to the Adansihene by donating a van to the Adansi traditional council during the last Akwasidae celebration.
