Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II congratulates Kade Senior High Technical for NSMQ success

The Omanhene of the Kade Traditional Area, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, has congratulated Kade Senior High Technical School for qualifying for the national preliminaries of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition.

Speaking at an event to launch new vision and mission statements for the school on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, who is the life patron of the school, expressed pride in the school's achievement. He also congratulated the competing team, the management of the school, and its entire body for the unprecedented achievement.

"Madam Headmistress, once again, thank you very much, and [to] the selected teachers for this successful position in the Science and Maths Quiz program," he stated.

He announced his decision to specially invite and celebrate the team while also indicating his unflinching commitment to ensuring the team is fully prepared and resourced going into the national championship.

"The MCE mentioned he is going to invite the team to the office, and surely I will be doing the same. I have already indicated the need to ensure the team is fully prepared for the final competition in Accra. Given that the students are not going to disgrace us, we need to prepare them adequately, and it goes with motivation; it goes with support. You can't eat your cake and have it. So, it is our promise that when the time comes for the preparation to organize the students, let us have the information to come on board so that we can achieve the common goal," he stated.

Kade Senior High Technical School emerged victorious in their regional championship qualifying stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz against Krobo Girls SHS, St. Rose's SHS, and Boso SHTS on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The victory qualified the school for the national preliminaries of the National Science and Maths Quiz while advancing the team to the next stage of the Eastern Regional Championship.

Kade SHTS will now face Mpraeso SHS, Oyoko Methodist SHS, and Suhum Presby SHS in the next round of the regional championship, slated for July 5, 2024.

The launch event witnessed the announcement of a new direction for Kade SHTS, with the school adopting the vision "to become a beacon of educational excellence."

The new mission of Kade SHTS is "to make effective use of available resources for the holistic development of the learner."

The school has also adopted humility, tolerance, integrity, critical thinking, honesty, hard work, teamwork, god-fearing, and discipline as its core values for the education and training of its students.

Established in 1982, Kade SHTS continues to be a premier institution for secondary education in the Kwaebibirem Municipality and its environs.
