The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, in partnership with Ghana Gas Company, has cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern ICT centre for Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School in the Ashanti Region.

This state-of-the-art facility, designed to accommodate 500 students, aims to enhance IT literacy not only in the school but across Ghana.

The project's inception follows an appeal by the school to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for an ICT centre.

At the sod-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Board Chairman of the foundation, Professor Oheneba Boakye Owaohene Agyei, who also serves as Otumfuo Hiahene, praised Ghana Gas for funding the initiative.

He assured the foundation's continued support for life-changing projects.

Mr. Frank Gyamfi, Assistant Manager at Ghana Gas Company, revealed that the project is expected to be completed within eight months.

Notably, this ICT facility marks the 169th project undertaken by Ghana Gas Company in the Ashanti Region.

Gyamfi encouraged schools to submit proposals for similar initiatives.

This collaboration reflects the foundation's commitment to improving education and IT literacy, aligning with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II's vision for enhancing the quality of life in Asanteman and Ghana.
