Techiman (B/A) May 12, GNA - The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is to embark on a five-year project to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of marginalized youth in Techiman and Sunyani municipalities.
Mr Francis Nyankey, Programmes Director, announced this at a day's workshop funded by the International Planned Parenthood Federation to introduce the project to the 40 participants.
He said the project is expected to increase access to youth friendly sexual and reproductive health services through the establishment of clinics in Sunyani and Techiman.
Mr Nyankey said about 150 youth would be offered skills training in income generation and link them to the rural banks for credit facilities.
Mrs Elsie Ayeh, Zonal Manager of PPAG in charge of the Middle Zone, expressed the need for the establishment of a data collection system to assess information for effective implementation of the project.
