PTA handed over 5.1 billion cedis projects to school

Odumase(E/R), March 14, GNA- The Parents -Teacher -Association(PTA) of Manya Krobo Secondary School at the weekend handed over development projects worth 5.1 billion cedis to the school administration.

The projects, which were constructed within a period of 10 years included a senior house master and senior housemistress bungalows, two semi-detached self contained bedroom accommodation, the boys dormitory, boys dormitory annex, girls dormitory annex, rehabilitated school water supply system and water storage systems for the school.

The others were a dining hall, pantry and food store, a canteen for day students, visual art studio and a transit staff accommodation. During the ceremony the PTA presented a Saloon car and a 23 seater Bus to the school.

The Chairman of the PTA, Mr Foster Stephen Agu said the Association was providing salary advance and other allowances to staff of the school.

The Headmaster, Mr Ebenezer Narh Sackitey said anybody who visited the school some 10 years ago would have described it as rural, but thanks to the efforts of the PTA, now the status of the academic facility had changed for the better.
