Medie (G/A) Jan. 23, GNA - Mrs Victoria Opoku Ga District Director of Education on Wednesday called on Ghanaians abroad to visit home with some of their earnings to support education in the country.
Mrs. Opoku made the call at Medie near Amasaman when she inaugurated a workshop for the Mother Maria Theresa Haze International School, on Wednesday.
She called on parents to avoid expensive dresses and rather concentrate on buying school equipment for their wards.
Mr. Gabriel Adade Boachie the founder and proprietor of the school said 16 classrooms with stores, offices, teachers common room and staff quarters and another four classroom for kindergarten and nursery all valued at 1.5 billion cedis would be provided.
He congratulated some friends in Germany who also contributed cash and microscope free to the school.
Mr. Adjei Gyamfi an Accra businessman who chaired the function appealed to the Greater Accra District Assembly to re-gravel a one-kilometre feeder road linking the school with Samsam and Medie.
