Pastor not happy about dressing of the youth these days

Winneba (C/R), May 19, GNA - The General Overseer of the End-Time Church, Pastor Kofi Adamtey has expressed total disapproval of the type of dresses the youth, especially some of the young girls put on these days and strongly cautioned them against such act.

He appealed to parents, guardians, teachers, school authorities, traditional rulers and churches to help check these serious social canker, which is gradually destroying the youth, and for that matter the country's rich and respectful tradition and customs.

Pastor Adamtey disclosed this in an interview with the GNA at Winneba on Tuesday at his residence.

He said much as the youth of today are the future leaders of this great nation of Ghana, there is the need for the leaders, the church and the old to instil into the youth, the tradition of this nation instead of allowing them to adopt Western cultures that are at variance with ours.

Pastor Adamtey who quoted several biblical versions to support his idea, was of the view that, as much as the world has become just a small place to live, there is the urgent need for our rich traditional customs to be advertised by the youth of today.

He therefore called on the leaders, chiefs, opinion leaders and decision makers in our society to help the vulnerable youth propagate the rich culture of Ghana to the highest level.

Pastor Adamtey also expressed the hope that apart from instilling a high degree of our rich culture and communed spirit and sense of belonging into the citizenry, it would also help in maintaining our true identity both at home and abroad.
