Poultry farmer installed Krontihene of Nkawie-Kumah

Nkawie (Ash), May.31, GNA - Mr Darko Mensah, a 46-year old poultry farmer has been installed the Krontihene of Nkawie-Kumah sub-traditional council in the Atwima district under the stool name Nana Kofi Darko 111. He succeeded his grandfather Nana Kofi Darko 11, who died two months ago.

Addressing his people after the ceremony at the week-end, the new Krontihene called for co-operation and necessary support to be able to help raise their living conditions.

Nana Darko asked his people to re-kindle their self-help spirit so that they would be able to provide certain basic amenities for themselves since the government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of providing all their needs.

He assured his people that education and sanitation would be his priority since education was the cornerstone for development and sanitation was the basis of good health.
