Member of Parliament for Tamale South, and Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, has commended President John Mahama for his state of the nation address, describing the first citizen as being profoundly brilliant and incredibly eloquent.
President Mahama complied and honored a constitutional obligation pursuant to article 67 of the constitution to deliver a state of the nation address to parliament.Haruna Iddrisu believes the president's position to fixing the energy crises and not managing it was the high light of his address.
The Member of Parliament was commenting of the president 2015 state of the nation address on Tamale based Diamond FM monitored by Might FM in Savelugu.The President pledged to take personal control of the energy crises which is affecting all aspects of the economy. He urged Ghanaians to give the president enough time to fix the energy crises once and for all.
On education, Haruna Iddrisu pointed out the president believes in free compulsory universal education and was committed to ensuring that all children of school going age accessed quality education.
He put on record that no government has ever invested in reducing the number of schools under trees than the NDC government. The minister added that the introduction of re-sit of examinations at the basic level was evidence enough that the government was committed to ensuring educational for all.
