With the emergence of the new industrial revolution, the need for adoption of a new of way of imparting knowledge will be necessary, Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann has suggested.

The traditional teaching methods will be insufficient as there is the need for a what she termed "student-centred approach, Professor Kaufmann further explained.

An approach that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability will be the way to go, she said.

Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann who was the special guest delivered her speech electronically at the graduation ceremony at Crystal Heights international School Shikpontele - Amasaman in the Ga west municipality of Accra. In all about two hundred learners from Kindergarten and Junior high school were graduated.

She underscored the need for education to promote life-long learning when roles interchanged between learners, teachers and researchers to enable the creation of a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Sharing a personal story, she told her third-year engineering students that they (students) were being trained to be engineers for the future.

She explained that her only requirement was to ensure the students took charge and be responsible in the use of technology while knowing the limitations and committing to a consistent common sense check in ensuring that results they present were grounded in reality.

Technology, she observed has reshaped education in profound ways.

She commended Crystal Heights international School in the face of the emerging trends for incorporating robotics and artificial intelligence she noted has laid a strong foundation for the students.

The move in embracing new technologies she noted has equipped students of Crystal Heights for the future, something all schools should emulate.

Professor Elsie expressed satisfaction for the integration of online courses, remote learning among others, which underscored the need for the graduates to be motivated in a bid to move out of their shells and put up an extraordinary performances.

The graduation, she noted, is not only to acknowledge the achievement of learners but also the transformative power of education especially as the world navigates the fourth industrial revolution.

Alerting the graduates of what lies ahead of them, Professor Kaufmann intimated that the fourth industrial revolution is one characterized with new technologies which have affected human lives in terms of work and learning.

She underscored the urgent need for all to embrace and be prepared in order not to be left out.
