Men of God, who are fond of predicting election results, have been asked to rather lay emphasis on praying to God to reveal Ghana’s next president to the Ghanaian voter. Most of these prophecies ahead of previous elections have turned out to be false.

Usually visions seen by these pastors and prophets are from satan but are misconstrued as coming from God, Kaneshie Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Achim Gyimah has assessed. “They must speak with circumspect, God reveals to you, but satan can also reveal.

So you have to write it down and pray. If this is from God, pray for the person…I don’t think it is right to announce the winner,” he underscored. Aps. Achim Gyimah was speaking to 3news.com shortly after the foundation stone laying of Emmanuel Assembly and Mt. Moriah Assembly both in the Adwen-Bu District of the Church of Pentecost on Sunday.

According to Aps. Achim Gyimah, some prophets have succeeded in creating confusion and dividing families and churches with their not-well-thought through prophecies. “It would be wise for prophets and pastors to be circumspect this time.

If you have a vision, pray to God that if this is really from you, reveal it to the whole nation…even a child; Lord let a child know that this man can be the president and God can do it. “That is the best thing prophets and pastors can do instead of creating divisions in Churches and family,” he admonished. Christians as kingmakers Aps.

Achim Gyimah further noted that since Christians form majority of Ghana’s population, God can use them to establish who will win the 2016 presidential election, making reference to Daniel 2:21. “If Christians can see and hear from God’s end, then they can be king makers of Ghana, Christ is living in us, God knows one who is fit to become the president and parliamentarian.

“We must therefore pray and get directions from God, otherwise we will vote for the wrong person and the nation will be in chaos.” Parliamentary and Presidential candidates He also charged candidates – parliamentary and presidential – to also involve themselves in prayers for God to reveal which one of them will emerge the winner.

“Candidates must also prayed and seek from God as to who would win. If the winner is revealed and you are not the one, you don’t fight after results have been declared.”

Apostle Achim Gyimah was assisted in the foundation stone laying ceremonies by the wife, Mrs. Hannah Achim Gyimah, the Adwen-Bu District Pastor, Rev. Elijah Mahama Akpanyi, Area Estate Committee Chairman, Pastor Samuel Doku, District Executive members and Presbyters in the Adwen-Bu District.
