Proprietress of gari factory appeals for assistance

Asueyi (B/A) April 2, GNA - Madam Faustina Agyeiwaa, proprietress of Asueyi gari processing factory at Asueyi in Brong Ahafo Region has appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture to assist the factory to procure a drier and dressing machine to enhance operations. She made the appeal when Mr. Isaac Osei-Antwi, acting Techiman Municipal Chief Executive paid a working visit to acquaint himself with the operations of the factory.

The proprietress explained that the only machine being used at the factory was inadequate for its operations and called for more machines At the community livelihood-enhancement and environmental conservation project, the Manager, Mr. Joseph Kofi Karikari, appealed for more credit facilities to enable them to expand their activities. He called on the Municipal Assembly to allocate part of the poverty alleviation

fund to its members to enable them to engage in tree planting along the Asueyi Subin River to help protect its vegetation cover.

Mr. Osei Antwi commended the management of the industry for providing employment and urged them to initiate meaningful development projects to win Government and the Assembly's assistance.

He advised them to embrace the municipal mutual insurance scheme and gave assurance that their grievances would be addressed.
