Pull down this trap to save lives

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), July 5, GNA - An ancient school block that houses classes 1, 2 and 3 of stream "B" of Dormaa-Ahenkro Roman Catholic Primary "A" School is a death trap and poses a threat to the lives of innocent pupils and their teachers.

The the Block of three classrooms, said to have been constructed in the early 1940s, has developed serious structural problems and is in a state of disrepair, requiring its demolition to guarantee the safety of pupils and teachers.

At the last sitting of the Dormaa Municipal Assembly at Dormaa-Ahenkro, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Vincent Oppong Asamoah, listed several school buildings to be constructed with GETFund support, including the Roman Catholic school.

In an interview with the GNA at the school, the Headteacher, Mr James Owusu, confirmed the Assembly's decision to reconstruct the school block. He appealed to stakeholders to pull down the dilapidated building as soon as practicable to prevent any mishap.
