Marian Quayson-Odonkor, affectionately known as Mama Yewulor IV, the queen mother of Volo, has honored her commitment to aid disabled individuals impacted by the recent devastating floods that swept through her homeland and nearby communities in the Volta region of Ghana.

Driven by a deep-rooted belief in the importance of caring for all members of society, regardless of their physical abilities, Mama Yewulor IV recognized the urgency of providing support to those who are often overlooked. On Friday, May 17, at the South Tongu District Assembly in Sogakope, and May 18 at Adidome and Volo, her generosity shone through a significant donation event.

The donations included Aqua Gold Water, wheelchairs, walking aids, Zimmer frames, and essential items such as rice, cooking oil, biscuits, and soft drinks. These contributions were not just aimed at addressing immediate material needs but also at providing mobility and a sense of inclusion for the disabled community in Ghana.

Mama Yewulor IV's actions are a testament to her empathy and unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Speaking to the media, she emphasized that her donations were about more than just providing physical items—they were about empowering individuals to engage actively in society and regain their independence.

Supported by the Kolpings family, St. Hubertus Church Choir in Cologne Brueck, Iglu, and a dedicated team from Meltenyi and other individuals in Germany, Mama Yewulor IV's organization is quickly becoming a beacon of hope for vulnerable communities. Her efforts are making a significant difference, shining a light on the power of compassion and the importance of inclusivity.
