Nana Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kani, Queen-mother of the Nkoranza Traditional Area, has cautioned young girls against pre-marital sexual practices.
She condemned indecent dressing among girls, pointing out that the vice was ridiculing the privacy of womanhood.
Nana Kani, President of the Nkoranza Queen-mothers’ Association, who was addressing the fourth-quarter General Meeting of members of the Association at Nkoranza, urged members to educate the youth in their various communities on the need to dress decently.
Nana Abena Boatemaa, President of the National Association of Women Traditional Leaders, called for collaborative efforts between chiefs and queen-mothers for accelerated national development.
Okatakyie Agyeman Kodom the Fourth, Omahnene of the Nkoranza Traditional Area, gave the assurance that the traditional council would continue to support the Association with its development agenda.
Nana Yaa Nyamaa, Queen-mother of the Sunyani Traditional Area, called on
Queen-mothers to preserve puberty rites for younger girls, to maintain their virginity before marriage.
