Renew mandate of NPP government-Deputy Minister

Ntinanko (Ash), March 23, GNA - Mr Kofi Poku-Adusei, Deputy Minister of Women and Children's Affairs, has called on Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government because of its admirable performance.

He said development projects were springing up all over the country, the economy was improving and people were breathing air of freedom.

Mr Poku-Adusei said it would therefore be hypocritical for anybody to refuse to recognise the enormous achievements made by the government.

The Deputy Minister, who is also Member of Parliament (MP) for Bekwai, was addressing the chiefs and people of Ntinanko as part of his tour of the area to interact with the people.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving the standard of living of the people.

Mr Poku-Adusei said to achieve this objective, government would continue to provide infrastructure to enhance economic development. He advice all Ghanaian of 18 years and above and of sound mind to register in the ongoing voters registration exercise to enable them vote in the forthcoming elections.

The Deputy Minister also toured some registration centres to know the progress of work.

He also visited Koniyaw and Dwoamen communities and presented learning materials and toys to the school children. At Dwoamen, he promised to donate 500,000 cedis to each pupil of the local junior secondary school who excel in the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
