Reverend Dr. Joyce Aryee, founder and leader of the Salt and Light Ministries, has commended the Deeper Christian Life Ministry for its continuous role in impacting society.

She also commended the church for instilling discipline and true Christian life in its members.

She said this during her keynote address at a GCK Media Launch in Kumasi.

The Gospel Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), which is scheduled for July 25 to 30, 2024, is a worldwide crusade that is going to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Stating the GCK's outstanding role in transforming society, the Reverend Minister said the GCK has demonstrated its ability to be a tool for societal cohesion and integration for peace and conflict resolution.

According to her, the Gospel Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) has been able to engage political leaders and economic actors to map the path for political independence, peace, and economic emancipation.

She added that the Gospel Crusade with Kumuyi has become a platform for fostering national cohesion and peace.

She disclosed that available statistics from the GCK secretariat revealed that the GCK brand has influenced individuals, families, and nations in conceivable ways during the last three years since its inception in Nigeria.

She said GCK has evolved into a global Gospel initiative, moving away from denominational affiliations.

To her, the GCK has become a cohesive force that binds all Christians together and also helps to spread the gospel.

On his part, Pastor E.K. Duodu, who is the National General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), said the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) is a worldwide evangelistic ministry by Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi that organizes gospel crusades, conferences, and youth assemblies, dedicated to spreading the gospel message of truth through television, radio, dailies, and social media.

According to him, this year's program is going to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and will be streamed.

Touting its most crucial benefits to the lives of people, he said, through the crusade, many lives have been transformed.

"The most important objective of the GCK is to help transform people, and it has really helped. You see, when we talk of transformation and repentance, it is very beneficial to society. People, including politicians and public officers who steal state properties, cannot keep them after repentance, and this is what makes the GCK very unique.

"Let me personally use my life as an example. I completed Kumasi Academy, and during my school days, I stole many books. When I repented, the Holy Spirit touched me enough to send all of them back to school. It was after many years of completion. Even the security men and other authorities were shocked, but I told them it wasn't my making, but the Holy Spirit touched me to do so," he said.

He is, however, of the view that when people have repented, society is cleared of all iniquities.

Lastly, the Kumasi Mayor, Samuel Payne, who attended the program as a special guest, commended the DCLM for hosting its worldwide crusade in the Kumasi Metropolis.

He, however, assured the KMA's readiness to provide support in terms of security and others.
