The Royal house Chapel International is sponsoring the surgery of eleven male prisoners in Ho to correct defects caused by various ailments.
This followed a medical outreach by the Church for about 1,000 inmates of the Ho Central Prisons as part of a three-day “Compassion Ministry” work in the Volta Region.
The Church also presented medical items and foodstuffs to the Prisons and the sick at the Volta Regional Hospital.
Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, Apostle General of the Church, said the gesture was in line with the Church’s belief in reaching out to the vulnerable in society.
He said prison was only a place of “transition to greatness” and urged the inmates to keep faith alive and rebuild their future behind the scene.
Rev Ankrah pledged the Church’s support to restock the Regional Hospital’s blood bank yearly through blood donation exercises and thanked the management of the Hospital for collaborating with surgeons the Church brought to help with surgical operations for the outreach.
Madam Innocentia Gborgblorvor, Nurse Manager of the Ho Regional Hospital commended the Church for the support and appealed to people to donate regularly to save lives.
