School block dedicated at Dwenewoho

Dwenewoho (Ash), Nov 10, GNA - A block of two classrooms built at a cost of 80 million cedis by Asantoa Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and the New Testament Church of God in the United Kingdom for the people of Dwenewoho in the Ahafo-Ano South District has been dedicated and handed over to the Ghana Education Service (GES). Miss Ama Asantoa-Marcia Neveu, leader of the foundation, said the organisation had made a commitment to work in partnership with the community to bring about a lasting change by meeting their basic needs. She said so far the foundation had provided tuition, school furniture and sewing machines to the community.

Miss Neveu said an additional classroom block would be built from December to enable more children to receive education. Bishop Boakye Nkansah, an Administrative Bishop of the New Testament Church of God, said the church had established schools in the country including a university at Winneba.

Rev Boateng Bediako, a representative of the foundation, said 54 pupils had so far been offered scholarships.
