The authorities of the Community Special Vocational School at Deduako, in Kumasi, have complained about the delay in the release of the administrative grant meant for the smooth running of the facility.
The school is the only special second-cycle institution in the area.
Mr Simon Odei Nyarko, Principal of the school told the Ghana News Agency that since January no money had been released to the authorities, “making the going pretty difficult”.
He said the school is forced to depend on charity and loans to feed the student population of 35 and to meet other operation expenditures.
Mr Nyarko therefore appealed to the government, to make available the grant that had been in arrears.
Mr Nyarko said irregular release and inadequate funding is preventing the authorities to admit more students.
He asked individuals, churches and organisations to give support to the school.
