Mrs Rosetta Addison Sackey, Eastern Regional Director of Education has called on stakeholders in education to support managers of education to ensure quality education at the schools.
This was contained in a speech read on her behalf at the first Education Camp Conference which seeks to bring educators together to discuss issues about education, the challenges as well as the successes.
The forum was organised by NOVAN Education and Training on the theme, “Access to quality education in Eastern Region" at Koforidua.
Mrs Sackey said quality education seeks to equip an individual with the needed skills and abilities to be self reliant and eventually affect society positively.
She indicated that the Region was making strides in education delivery in the area of infrastructural development, capacity development of both teaching and non teaching staff as well as monitoring and supervision despite the daunting challenges.
Mr Miracule Gavor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NOVAN Education and Training, said the topics discussed such as access to quality education, teacher training and development, education management and administration as well as technology in education would be put in a communiqué to share with other relevant stakeholders to move education forward.
He said his outfit intends to organize five of such programmes across the country in the coming year, with the next one likely to be in February 2016.
