Stratcomm Africa launches 'Communicate'

Stratcomm Africa has launched a new magazine called “Communicate” onto the Ghanaian market to help promote among the public the value of communication to enhance professional and social interaction.

It is also aimed at helping to showcase how communication has been employed by individuals, organisations, communities as well as nations for positive impact.

Mr Ken Ashigbey, Managing Director Graphic Communications Group Ltd, speaking at the launch said Communicate has come at an opportune time as it would help educate, motivate and inform its target audience on the value of communication to human existence.

Mr Ashigbey said communication is not just about exchanging information but goes beyond that, thus effective communication combines a set of skills and helps deepen the connections with others, improves teamwork, decision making and problem solving.

This he said is what Communicate seeks to take its readers to the realm of Public Relations and lay to bare the misconceptions of PR and authoritatively articulate what PR stands for.

He however, expressed gratitude to the CEO of Stratcomm Africa for coming out with the magazine adding “this has come to fill a value void which is lacking in the media milieu”.

Ms Esther Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer Stratcomm Africa noted that communication is a science, a discipline that deliberately needs to be studied.

She said one has to understand the heart of human beings to deposit communication messages into the heart that would resolute into something effective.

She expressed the need for countries such as Ghana practicing democracy to grow in its economy needs to use communication to achieve all that thereby making the medium a strong tool and pillar on which societies depend.

Ms Cobbah said all that Communicate magazine seeks to do is to enrich the Ghanaian economy as far as communication and development is concern.

She also added that Communicate would focus on the daily lives of the people, discuss developmental issues, to brand businesses and advertise products and services of SME’s to change the status quo.

She therefore urged all to buy and read the Communicate which would be published on quarterly basis at GH¢ 10.00 to enhance communication in the country.

Mrs Lucy Quist, Managing Director Airtel Ghana officially launching the magazine thanked the team at Stratcomm Africa for the initiative adding, this would help people and corporate entities to understand communication and the media landscape better.
