TEMASCO to celebrate 63rd anniversary from November 16-24

Tema Secondary School, one of Ghana's premier educational institutions, is set to celebrate its 63rd anniversary from Saturday, November 16, to Sunday, November 24.

This year's anniversary is under the theme, "Tackling Youth Unemployment Through Digitalization and Entrepreneurship Education," and reflects the school's dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders and change-makers.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the school has planned a series of events, which begin on November 16, 2024, with a health walk. Other activities for the week-long celebration include a debate and quiz competition, commissioning of some completed projects, health screening, staff and student homecoming, speech and prize-giving day, and a Thanksgiving service on Sunday, November 24, 2024, to wrap up the celebrations.

Special guests expected to be present at the speech and prize-giving day include Anchorite Dr. Derek Oppong, Dr. Joseph Tackie, Dr. K.B. Tandoh, Anchorite Prophet Alahari, and Anchorite DDGP Mrs. Patience Baffoe Bonnie, Esq.

The 63rd anniversary celebration is being organized by the 1974, 1984, 1994 and the 2004 year groups in collaboration with the school's authorities.

Founded in 1961, Tema Secondary School was established to provide quality secondary education to the growing population of Tema and its surrounding communities.

Throughout its 63-year history, Tema Secondary School has achieved numerous milestones, including producing distinguished alumni who have excelled in various fields, such as politics, business, medicine, and the arts.
