Talk Within The Limits Of The Law-Mr Cockra

The Managing Director of North Star Fm, a private local radio station in Tamale has caution radio panelists and other social commentators to always endeavor to talk within the limits of the law any time they find themselves on air discussing political or any other issues.
Mr. Cockra gave this advice during an interaction with panelists of North Star FM and Friends of the station at a ceremony at the Mafara Hotel in Tamale. The occasion was to say thank you to all the panelists and Friends of the station who have been supporting the station in various ways since its inception.
The Director also appealed to social commentators to make research their best friend in order that, they will not be found wanting any time they have to discuss issues on radio.
Speaking at the same ceremony a member of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region Alhaji Mohammed Sherif Wofa thanked the management of North Star radio for the very educative, informative and entertaining programmes it has been serving the people of the area and urged them to continue with the good works. He assured them of the support of the NPP in all ways possible. Alhaji Wofa expressed the party’s gratitude to the social commentators for their role in public education and peace education in the Tamale Metropolis and the Northern Region at large.
Mr. Abdul-Latif Issahaku, coordinator of the NPP’s communications team in the region commended the management of North Star profusely for the opportunity the station always offers them to articulate their views saying: the station was hugely contributing to the development and consolidation of freedom of expression as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
A former Metropoitan Chief Executive of Tamale, Alhaji Adam Yogu said he was willing to make whatever expertise he has to the benefit of the social commentators and also urged them to make research part of their work.
Harruna Iddrisu, Assistant Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Mohammed Polo the Assembly member elect of the Zogbeli Electoral Area, Mr. Akilu Sayibu-NPP parliamentary Aspirant for the Tamale North Constituency, Mr. Salifu Sule an activist of the NPP, Adam Yussif Marketing/Commercial, Sham-un na Ghazi and Akbar Y. R. Khomeini a member of the communication team of the NPP in the Northern Region were among those in attendance. Mr. Harruna Abubakar Sadiq programmes Manager of the station was also in attendance.
