Tema Port donates containers to Ghana Education Service

As part of its corporate social responsibilities, the Port of Tema has donated two 40-footer containers to the Greater Accra Regional office of the Ghana Education Service.

The donation is to aid in decongesting the offices of the GES in the Greater Accra region.

Presenting the containers, the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of Tema Port, Josephine Asante expressed hope that the donations will be able to bring relief to the Ghana Education Service.

Josephine Asante said the Port Authority is committed to the education sector, hence, will do everything within its means to ensure it is uplifted.

“Our doors are always open to you, anytime you need any help and you think we can offer, why not? We will, because this is also a government institution. Moreover, the education sector is something that we should all try to uplift,” she expressed.

Receiving the containers on behalf of the Regional Education Service, officials expressed gratitude to the Port of Tema and said the containers would serve as backup storage facility at their new office premises.

He seized the opportunity to appeal to other stakeholders who have interest in the development of education in the country to continue to extend a helping hand to GES when they can.

“We were handicapped; we had to fall on you so that you will extend that courtesy to us. We are so grateful that you have come to our aid, this is going to help a lot, and we are going to decongest most of our offices,” said the Public Relations Officer, Ghana Education Service, Golden Abradu.
