Twifo Moseaso (C/R), June 11, GNA - Thirty unemployed persons drawn from Twifo Moseaso and Twifo-Somnyamekodu in the Twifo Heman-Lower Denkyira District on Saturday completed a three-month training programme in kente weaving at Moseaso.
The programme, organised by the Moseaso/Somnyamekodu unit committees, was aimed at training the participants to acquire employable skills. Mr Edward Baiden Aggrey, the Assembly Member for Somnyamekodu and Moseaso who funded the programme, said it was designed to complement the government's efforts at reducing poverty.
He urged the participants to form cooperatives to enable them acquire loans to promote their businesses. Mr Aggrey commended World Vision Ghana for building a block of three classrooms at Moseaso.
