Three people were critically injured as a result of a horrific accident on the Kasoa-Winneba highway near the Gomoa Buduatta Junction in the Gomoa East District.

The collision involved a container trailer with registration number GE 8891-18 headed to Takoradi and a tipper truck with registration number GN 2314-21 heading to Kasoa.

The three injured individuals include a driver and two passengers. The accident occurred around 1:00AM on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Initial reports indicated that the driver of the tipper truck was sleeping behind the wheel when the accident occurred.

Upon reaching the Buduatta Goil Filling Station, the driver veered out of his lane and collided with the trailer truck.

The three injured individuals were transferred to St. Gregory Hospital for treatment.
