‘Tindonsobligo Adam smith’ is nothing; he can’t intimidate us – NPP Chairman jabs Isaac Adongo

The Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Namoo, has called on Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo to be mindful of the non factual comments he makes about economy issues and focus on attracting developmental projects to his constituency, as his term draws to an end.

Speaking on A1 Radio, the NPP Chairman explained that, one of the reasons the people in Bolgatanga Central Constituency vote for Isaac Adongo in 2016, was to represent them positively in parliament and lobby for developmental projects into the area to better their lives. Unfortunately, the MP has ended up running unnecessary commentary about the economy and doing the opposite.

Anthony Namoo tagged the NDC MP as “Tindonsobligo Adam Smith” (a community where Isaac Adongo hails from) just as Isaac Adongo tagged Dr. Bawumia as “Walewale Adam Smith, adding that the NDC MP unfortunately cannot boast of attracting any development project to appreciate the people who voted for him in the constituency.

“The people voted him to parliament to bring development and not to be making himself popular by targeting one person; the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia. He has done nothing in terms of bringing developmental projects into the constituency. He has not push for bread and butter for the people, so clearly, he’s marking his time come 2020.” He explained.

The NPP Chairman’s comment came as a response to Isaac Adongo’s earlier comments that, members of the New Patriotic Party in the region are afraid of him and wished he had lost the recent parliamentary primaries of National Democratic Congress.

According to Mr. Namoo voters in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency are beginning to lose confidence in the opposition National Democratic Congress and are therefore sitting on a time bomb and very soon the “Tindonsobligo Adam Smith” will be kicked out of parliament.

“If you look back to 2008, the NDC won with percentage figures of 62.00. In 2012 the percentage figure dropped to 57.66 and in 2016, it dropped again to 51.40, this means that voters are losing confidence in the NDC and beginning to trust the NPP. The ‘Tindonsobligo Adam Smith’, came as a first timer and now that we’ve got to know of his weakness, we know for sure that the trend will continue to change. There’s no way he will get the votes like he did in 2016.” He explained.

Anthony Namoo noted that, though the MP has made himself popular, his actions at home are negative and that will cost him dearly in his political career.

“The thing is, to whom much is given, much is expected from, but here is the case where Isaac Adongo is not doing that, rather his focus is to peddle false figures and lies about the economy and anything the Vice President says.” He added.

He however assured that any candidate that will represent NPP this time round, will surely win the Bolgatanga Central Constituency seat come 2020, as the candidate to be selected can match Isaac Adongo boot for boot.
