Accra, Aug. 16, GNA – The True Teachings Christ Temple (TTCT) in Holland, has donated items worth GH¢1,300.00 and a GH¢400.00 cash to the Village of Orphanage at Gomoa Feteh in the central Region.
The items include 10 bags of rice, two 50kg bags of sugar, 30 bottles of cooking oil, two boxes of cowbell milk and two bags of gari.
The donation formed part of the Church’s annual social responsibility programmes towards the growth of the less privileged in society. The occasion is also used to evangelism.
Presenting the items, Evangelist Kofi Amoateng, Associate pastor said the welfare of the orphans was the priority of the Church and therefore every year it mobilizes funds to support them in sister countries.
He said the Church always used part of its harvest contribution to support such a cause given that Christ laid the good foundation of sharing.
Evangelist Amoateng said children had the right to be protected and fed well for a better future.
He advised the children to study hard and follow their parents’ good principles, adding through humility and obedience they could become somebody in future.
Evangelist Amoateng pledged to help to establish a Senior High School for the orphans and urged parents to show commitment in discharging their duties.
Receiving the items, Mrs. Matilda Adu-Poku, Senior Mother of the Home, who received the items, thanked the leadership of TTCT for the kind gesture, saying the items had come at a time when the Home needed them the most. Over two hundred inmates are currently at the home.
She promised to use the items for the purpose for which they were donated.
