Mr Anthony Kwaku Marnu, Techiman North District Chief Executive has urged the people to foster unity, peace and understanding among themselves to enhance socio-economic development.
He pointed out that partisan politics, chieftaincy and land disputes as well as religious conflicts are negative tendencies that have adverse effects on development and urged the youth to eschew them.
Mr Marnu made the call when inaugurating a market jointly financed by the assembly, the citizenry and KFW of Germany at Tuobodom.
He was not happy that the market project was abandoned in 2001 because of misunderstanding and disputes among the people and urged them to live in unity.
Mr Marnu advised traders and other entrepreneurs in the district to patronize the market to attract other traders and also honour their tax obligations to the assembly and other established institutions.
