Twifo Praso Senior High School is facing numerous challenges that hinder the quality of education it provides. The school urgently needs government support to address the lack of essential logistics, teaching materials, and staff housing.
Nana Kumasah Krampah II, Omankrado of Gomoa Asempayin and Divisional Omankrado for the Gomoa Akyempim Nyimfa Division, also a former student, paid an official visit to the school on Monday, April 29, 2024.
He highlighted that the school lacks buses, staff cars, and vital resources, making it difficult for students and staff to commute and perform their duties effectively.
In an exclusive interview with the media, the former student mentioned that the school also lacks teaching materials, hindering the delivery of quality education.
Also, the school has no housing units for teaching staff, forcing them to seek accommodation outside the school premises. Out of 109 teaching staff, he said only 30 are housed within the school premises.
"Despite the school administration's efforts to address these issues, no tangible support has been received. The school's infrastructure is in a dilapidated state, and the lack of support from the government and other stakeholders has left the school feeling neglected and frustrated," he lamented.
Nana Kumasah Krampah II expressed his disappointment and concern about the situation, emphasizing the need for urgent government intervention to address the challenges facing the school.
He urged the government to provide the necessary support to ensure that Twifo Praso Senior High School can provide quality education to its students.
