US FM shifts frequency with promise to be most reliable

US FM, a Ho-based Frequency Modulation (FM) Radio Station on Saturday officially shifted frequency from 94.7 to 100.3, with a promise to provide the most interactive media forum across its coverage area.

Chief Godfred Medicine, President of the US Group of Companies, owners of the station told a short frequency inaugural ceremony in Ho that US FM was striving to remain a proven source of credible information.

He said the station would create platforms for the discussion of all issues affecting the area and would combine its service and market ethics expertly to become the most preferred conduit of commercial messages.

He urged the media to open up their platforms for discussions on development and not for politicians to hurl insults at each other.

Mr Harrison Belle, Head of Communications of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), applauded to US FM for connecting with all segments of its coverage area and reflecting their concerns.

Togbui Ahorgoh, General Manager of US FM, said the switch was to extend the station’s reach to bring more audiences into discussing development of their areas.

He said it would also make radio frequency engineering and management less cumbersome.

Togbui Ahorgah said the station was poised to cover the coming elections professionally.

Mr Victor Kwawukume, President of the Volta Regional Chapter of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), said the media must play its role well or lose and become puppets of self seeking individuals or interests.
