Unidentified woman's body in mortuary, daughter sent to Osu Home

Accra, Feb. 17, GNA - The authorities of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday announced that it had in its mortuary the body of a lady in her mid-30's.

The driver of a Circle-Tabora bound "tro-tro" bus brought the lady to the Hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival on February 7, this year at about 1100 hours.

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Mustapha Salifu said the body was awaiting identification and collection by her relatives while her two and a half year old daughter had been temporarily sent to the Osu Children's Home.

According to the driver of the trotro, the lady and her daughter bordered the bus for Tabora, but she collapsed and was rushed to the Hospital by the driver, Kwaku Anyan and Henry Quansah, Odorkor-Circle Station Master.

The Hospital appealed to anyone or family whose relative might have gone missing with her daughter to come to the Hospital for identification and collection of the body and the little girl.
