Members of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs have congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his election as the President of the Republic of Ghana. The House also commended President Mahama and his government for showing commitment to the development of the chieftaincy institution in Ghana as well as improving the welfare of chiefs.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Naa (Dr.) Puoure Puobe Chiir VII, President of the House and Paramount Chief of the Nandom Traditional Area.
The chiefs also commended all political parties that contested the elections and the entire people of Ghana for a peaceful election.
They also pledged to support the President in whatever way they could to ensure the successful implementation of his programmes and policies to better the lives of the average Ghanaian.
The House prayed to God and the spirits of their ancestors to protect and guide the President as well as grant him the necessary wisdom needed to lead Ghana to greater heights.
