Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur on Wednesday expressed Ghana’s condolence to the people of Ethiopia on the death of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, describing the former leader as a dynamic and progressive leader.
“The people of Ghana share in the grief of the people of Ethiopia in the untimely passing of a dynamic and progressive leader who brought political stability and economic progress to his people,” the Vice President wrote in a Book of Condolence opened at the Residency of the Ethiopian Embassy in Accra.
Leaders from around the world are expected to attend the burial ceremonies of the Prime Minister in Addis Ababa on September 2.
Late Prime Minister Zenawi died in a hospital in Brussels on August 20, 2012 after leading the East African nation for 21 years.
