WMCI holds fun games to mark 25th anniversary celebration

The Word Miracle Church International (WMCI) on Saturday organised fun games for its members to foster unity and friendliness towards national development.

The event, which formed part WMCI's 25th Anniversary celebration, signifies the importance of togetherness as Christians. It is also to prepare them to explore every corner of the world to win souls for Christ.

Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, General Overseer of WMCI, said it was high time Christians were encouraged to change their attitude to undertake positive ventures to improve their lot.

It is in this connection that the Fun Games is being organised to use the sports forum as a cradle towards the advancement, he said.

He said Christians should use the leisure period to develop their talents.

He said that, apart from using the Fun Games as a focal point of social integration, sports helps in reducing stress, cholesterol levels and also improving blood circulation.

Bishop Agyin-Asare noted that even though the churches might have different doctrines and liturgy, "We are all serving one God at the end of the day."

He condemned activities of some of the youth who indulge in vices that society abhors, saying that he had the hope that sports would rather be used to make them productive.

The event brought together all the WMCI branches in Accra and its environs to participate in football, basketball, volley ball, tag of peace, egg and spoon, sack race, ludo, oware, eating competition and dancing competition.**
