The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has announced plans to embark on ambitious projects that would generate funds for the Association’s activities.

According to the Association, the resource centres will be in the form of hotels, which will also serve as accommodation for members who have to travel on official assignments.

National president Samuel Afotey Otu, who made this disclosure while addressing members at the JUSAG 50th anniversary celebration in Cape Coast, said, “While we celebrate the achievements of JUSAG, we are also mindful of the future.”

“JUSAG is committed to continuing its legacy of innovation and advocacy. One of our key future projects is the construction of JUSAG offices across all regional capitals.

“This initiative aims to bring our services closer to our members, reducing the need for long and costly journeys to Accra. It is our belief that by decentralizing our operations, we will be better positioned to address the needs of our members more efficiently and effectively.

“Moreover, we are also embarking on the ambitious project of building the JUSAG Resource Centre,” Mr. Afotey Otu said.

He added, “Much like the NAT Hostels established by the Teachers’ Union, our resource centre will serve as a hub for our members, providing them with accommodation when they travel to Accra for official assignments.

“This initiative will not only save our staff from the high costs of hotel accommodation but will also generate income for the association, thereby making it self-sustaining in the long term,” the National President of JUSAG stated.
