Topease (E/R), March 17, GNA - A day's workshop to equip teachers to handle syllabi and topics effectively for the Topease Methodist Primary 93= A" and 93B" school has ended in the West Akim Municipality. The workshop, termed 93Creative Arts" also helped the teachers to m= eet their goal of building a network to enhance teaching and learning as well a= s to address the falling standard of education in the area. Madam Rose Otchere, Headmistress of the school, urged the participants to work diligently and assiduously in their respective classrooms. Madam Otchere, a former steward of the Asamankese Methodist Church stressed that the development of every nation depended on the educational level of its people and that the country could not hoped for a bright futur= e should the educational standard kept falling.

Mr Samuel Obeng Asante alias OSAT, Assistant Head teacher of the school, noted that the challenges teachers faced could be placed behind the= m as they were being resolved.

Meanwhile, the school had received audio bible messages and audio new testaments bible on cassette from Theovision International, an NGO. The National Coordinator, Reverend Seyeram and the Local Coordinator, Mr Samuel Ayisi of Theovision International, underscored the biblical position that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. They stressed that children needed a holistic foundation in both intellectual and moral matters hence the audio scripture message was the spiritual foundation on which fruitful lives could be built. The headmistress was grateful to the donors, saying; 93man is both physical and spiritual and therefore, having listened to the audio scriptures all year round, it was prudent that their lot would be improved. She appealed to Theovision International to include the school in its yearly school party programme for children, to help bring smiles on the faces of the children whose parents could not have afforded any celebration for the season.
