Twifo Praso (C/R), June 29, GNA - The Twifo Praso Area Development Programme (ADP) of the World Vision, Ghana, has donated 43 wheelchairs to 43 disabled persons in the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District. Rev James Safo-Adu, programme officer of ADP who presented the items, said it was part of ADP's social responsibility towards the needy. He gave the assurance that his outfit would continue to assist the disabled.
Mr Okine Mustapha Aryee, the District Social Welfare Officer, thanked the ADP and expressed the hope that the chairs would alleviate the hardship of beneficiaries. He appealed to the mass media to take up the challenge in promoting discussions on disability issues to make the public to be more informed and friendlier towards the disabled.
