A group calling itself Youth for Justice for Mahama Adams is calling for swift action against alleged murderers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Mahama Adams

Speaking at the funeral of the late NPP chairman at Bolgatanga on Sunday, spokesperson for the group, Alhaji Baba Razak called on the Inspector General of Police to summon NPP Chairman ,Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong for interrogation over the murder of the Upper East Regional Chairman.

He alleged that the group’s checks reveal that there have been attempts to swap the motorbike used in committing the crime and requested that the motorbike be sent to Accra from Bolgatanga for forensic investigation by the police.

He added, “Failure to do so, the police’s charge sheet will be seen as a political hogwash that will rather muddy the waters. We are counting on the police and the IGP to do a professional job as we are convinced that, there is some kind of cover-up.”

The death of Mahama Adams has caused confusion in the NPP with some members of the party calling for the heads of the of the party’s General Secretary and Chairman over their alleged complicity in the case.

The two party executives have however refused to resign even though attempts are being made to impeach them.
