Three ministers appointed from the Ashanti Region under the Mahama administration have donated a substantial amount of food items to support the Muslim community during Ramadan.

As Muslims approach the end of their 30-day fasting period, the donation aims to assist beneficiaries in observing the holy month and praying for the nation.

Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Works and Housing Minister Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, and Interior Minister Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak collectively presented over 350 bags of rice, 95 bags of sugar, 720 packs of canned tomatoes, 720 packs of canned fish, and 1,080 packs of Lipton tea.

During the handover of the items on March 18, Andrews Augustus Nana Akwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for ensuring that the region received its fair share of political appointments.

"The three ministers, along with CEOs and deputy CEOs from the region, all contributed to gathering these assorted food items for our Muslim brothers and sisters who are observing the fast.

"It is truly heartening to see our appointees supporting their community," Nana Akwasi emphasized.

According to Nana Akwasi, the food items will be distributed to needy Muslims in all 43 districts within the Ashanti Region.

"The donation reflects the appointees' commitment to supporting and giving back to their community," he disclosed.
