The All Souls Baptist Church (Tabernacle of Praise) at Bohyen Adumanum in Kumasim is to name the church auditorium after the former President of the Ghana Baptist Convention and immediate past President of the Ghana Baptist University College, Rev. Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh, in the coming months, Pastor Dr. Ayim-Nyarko Amanfo, Head Pastor, has disclosed.
Rev. Dr. Osei-Wusuh, who is a member of the Ghana Integrity initiative(GII), a global, non-governmental, non-profit civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption, is a distinguish Minister of the Ghana Baptist Convention (BGC), and has served as a Minister of Grace Baptist Church for over 25 years.
He started the establishment of local Baptist churches in America and Canada, which has led to the establishment of over 13 Ghanaian Baptist churches in America and Canada.
Announcing some of the achievements of the anti-corruption crusader at a church service at the All Souls Baptist Church, Pastor Dr. Ayim-Nyarko Amanfo indicated that Rev. Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh has headed the church on two occasions, and has nurtured a lot of Baptist ministers, who are spreading the Gospel.
According to Pastor Ayim-Nyarko, during his tenure as President of Ghana Baptist University College (GBUC), he initiated a lot of programmes, including personal development, the first of its kind in Ghana, at the university.
He described Rev. Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh as a mediator, who has been dialoguing when misunderstandings crop up.
He noted: “We had only two schools when Rev. Kojo Osei-Wusuh took over, but he left five schools at the end of his tenure, continuing that at GBUC, Dr. Osei-Wusuh introduced a course – Spiritual Emphasis Week – which has become part and parcel of curriculum of the university.
He also initiated and given the Ghana Baptist Convention Retreat Centre in Ejura a facelift, which has become a centre for the Convention.
