The Believers House of Worship is set to hold the 2029 edition of its yearly gathering dubbed “Gathering of Purpose,” a Soul winning adventure to empower not only Christians but all who seek the face of God to empower them to walk in the manifestation of His Glory.

The Founder and General Overseer of the Church, Apostle Abraham Lamptey at s press conference revealed that the Gathering of Purpose which has a theme; “Manifesting the Power of God,” is a period in which the church through powerful men of God, will teach and empower people to walk in the manifestation of God.

He said, Gathering of Purpose which has begun some 15 years ago, has been a blessing to many lives as some Muslims have had the opportunity to be converted to Christianity whilst some fetish priests and priestesses have given their lives to Christ.

Apostle Abraham Lamptey indicated that every year, the church pick a theme, follow it and see it happen in the lives of people who gathered. He explained that “Our target is not only Christians but everyone; be it Muslims, Fetish priests or priestesses.”

The man of God also mentioned that it is good for believers to gather with purpose, saying that any gathering without a purpose will only breed hooligans and bad nuts.

Quoting Romans 8: 28, Apostle Abraham Lamptey averred that every gathering that is done in the name of God and with a purpose will always yield positive response in the lives of all who gather, and that will build one's faith stronger.

He said, men of God who through the years have shown true manifestation not only in their lives but in the lives of people they win for Christ will all be gathered to impart faith, true Christian life and knowledge and the need for one another to stay in love.

According to him, men of God like Rev. Steve Mensah of Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry, Bishop Tackie Yaboi of Victory Bible Church, Apostle General Sam Kurankye Ankrah of Royal House Chapel and Prophet Samuel Addison among other distinguished men of God will speak during the Gathering of Purpose.

Touching briefly on the aftermath of the burning of his Church in August 2008, Apostle Abraham Lamptey said though the incident affected the church, he was not so much moved because “it was the church or the auditorium that was burnt, not the God. Since our God is still alive, we are more than conquerors. That is why today, we have seen our feet and we are doing greater things.” He said, the burning of the church was the best thing that has ever happened to him and he is always thankful to God for His goodness.

He said: “I was so happy when I saw the Temple razed down by the fire. You know God has the best advertising strategy. He used that misfortune to bless the church.”

Apostle Abraham Lamptey also bemoaned the current trend of the church becoming a business entity for some men of God.

According to him, life is about “Heaven and not Having,” and that men of God who are leading congregations must endeavour to do what is right and teach the people to love one another.

On her part, Rev. Mrs. Gloria Kafui Lamptey, Deputy General Overseer of Believers House of Worship said the program will begin with a float on Saturday May 18, 2019, through the principal streets of Nungua to create awareness of the main event and also to evangelise to the people.

She also averred that the official opening of the Gathering will take place on May 26, 2019, with the General Overseer, Apostle Abraham Lamptey leading the gathering in prayers and exhortation.

According to Mrs. Gloria Kafui Lamptey, the program will run through May 27 to June 2, 2019, adding that the gathering is an interdenominational gathering of persons who are willing to see the Glory of God manifesting in their lives. She urged all believers and non-believers alike to take the opportunity to attend and their “lives will never be the same.”

She also called on men of God not to entice their members into believing so much in material things but focus on preaching the way to salvation, saying that “you measure your work by the lives of people you transformed. And based on that you will be rewarded.”

“We as men and women of God have a duty not only to preach, pray but also to lead people to the truth by our own way of life. We must let people see Christ in us,” she advised.
