On Sunday, March 11, Charles Mills Robertson was crowned winner of the first season of Happy FM’s ‘Happy Bible Challenge’.
The thirteen-week competition, which commenced with 20 contestants, saw the contestants being drilled in general knowledge and some selected areas in the Bible. After the knockout stages, 4 out of the 20 contestants qualified for the finals.
Host of the ‘Happy Bible Challenge’, Pastor Nyansa Boakwa, took the four finalists through three rounds of rigorous questioning about some details in the Bible. Each round saw contestants going through ‘Draw Your Sword’ and general knowledge among areas in the Bible.
At the end of the competition, Charles Mills Robertson, winner of the competition, took home a Bible, a brand new Equator smartphone, a pressing iron, a kettle, a blender and a refrigerator.
“I want to commend Happy FM for putting together this competition. It is a great initiative that will get us Christians to study the bible well. I thank God for making me the winner of this event,” Charles Mills Robertson said after the event.
Emmanuel Oduro Agyapong who placed second also got a Bible, a brand new Equator smartphone, a kettle, a blender and a refrigerator. Joseph Akwetey Coker came third and was awarded a Bible, a brand new Equator Smartphone, a pressing iron and a kettle. For fourth place, Peter Nyamekye took home a Bible, a brand new Equator Smartphone and a pressing iron.
Speaking about the Happy Bible Challenge, Emmanuel Akrumah, Programs Manager for Happy FM, commended all the contestants for putting in a lot of hard work in this competition.
“We at Happy FM take issues of religion very seriously and as such, through the Happy Bible Challenge, our aim is to encourage the youth to study the Bible and also apply it to their daily lives. We look forward to making the next season of the Happy Bible Challenge bigger and much better. I also want to thank our sponsors for helping us achieve this victory,” Mr. Akrumah stated.
