Christian Divine Church elects new chairman, deputy chairman

The Christian Divine Church, popularly known as CDC, has elected a new Chairman and Deputy Chairman to steer the affairs of the church from January 2025 to 2028.

Three candidates contested for the chairmanship position, namely Rev. Francis Fosu Manu, Rev. Matthew Essel Cudjoe, and Rev. Alex Aidoo.

At the end of the voting process, Rev. Alex Aidoo won an overwhelming majority with 97.4% of the votes to claim the chairmanship position.

In the race for Deputy Chairman, the candidates were Rev. Andrew Antwi, Rev. Thomas Amoako, and Rev. Francis Baidoo. Rev. Francis Baidoo emerged victorious with 86.8% to secure the Deputy Chairmanship position.

Addressing the Pastoral Council after being declared the winner, Rev. Alex Aidoo expressed his gratitude to the church for entrusting him with the leadership.

He pledged to serve the church with integrity, transparency, and commitment.

He emphasized his dedication to fostering unity, promoting spiritual growth, and supporting various ministries within the church.

He concluded by urging all members to support the church’s vision of becoming a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of love, and a training ground for discipline.

Rev. James Fordjour, Area Head of Kumasi and a member of the Election Committee, also spoke to the media. He commended the process, describing it as smooth and transparent.

He further elaborated on the procedures involved in selecting and approving candidates for the chairmanship and vice-chairmanship positions.
